Rectory (Althaldensleben)
The rectory in the Althaldensleben district of the city of Haldensleben in Saxony-Anhalt is a listed rectory . The two-part main house with its rear farm buildings is located at Dieskaustraße 16/18 . The property borders on the church corridor , which leads to the Althaldensleber Simultankirche , about 100 meters away .
history
The main core of the house was built in 1722 as a village school . In 1856 the building was expanded. Today, next to the pastor's apartment, the parish office of the Evangelical Luther Church is located here. The southern part of the building was used as a parish hall until 2015, from then on it was renovated and taken over by the Corneliuswerk as a diaconal facility at the beginning of 2017 ; children and young people from difficult family backgrounds are accommodated here. As a replacement, the community received a meeting room in the former parish barn, which was renovated at the same time.
architecture
The originally presumably baroque building is now a stretched, single-storey clinker brick building on a high base along Dieskaustraße . The gable as well as the back are designed in half-timbered construction. The mansard roof is on the gables hipped . On the street side, the parish has two dwelling houses , which are also provided with half-hip roofs . The smaller rear farm buildings are functionally related and are built in half-timbered or solid construction.
Monument protection
In the local register of monuments , the rectory is registered as a monument under registration number 094 84411 . For Althaldensleben, the entirety of the rectory and the outbuildings is considered to be significant in terms of cultural history and urban development.
