Catholic parish church of the Assumption in Aistersheim

The Roman Catholic parish church of Aistersheim is located in the village of Aistersheim in the municipality of Aistersheim in the Grieskirchen district in Upper Austria . The church, consecrated on the Assumption of Mary , belongs to the dean's office Gaspoltshofen in the diocese of Linz . The church and the cemetery are under monument protection .

history

From 1699 to 1700 a new church was built with the builder Jakob Pawanger on the place of a previous church.

architecture

The spacious, roughly square nave with a hanging dome on four belt arches with semi-circular niches in the corners has two extended room sections with a rising vault . The elongated choir has a darkened vestibule with a cross-elliptical pendentive dome and a subsequent, light chancel with a hanging dome and a three-eighth end. The interior of the church has a Corinthian order of pilasters and a fine stucco decoration from around 1730. The west tower shows a pilaster structure and has a pointed helmet.

Furnishing

The high altar from 1747 is a splendid work by Gregor Dörschel from Aistersheim and carries Anna in the middle around 1500. The side altars were made around 1770. The rococo pulpit was created by the sculptor Joachim Ertl from Lambach.

The organ was built around 1700.

There are tombstones from the 16th and 17th centuries.
