Parish church Mils near Imst
The Roman Catholic parish church Mils bei Imst is located in the municipality of Mils bei Imst in the Imst district in Tyrol . It is consecrated to St. Sebastian and belongs to the dean's office in Imst in the diocese of Innsbruck . The building is a listed building .

The church stands on a hill on the northern outskirts and is surrounded by a cemetery.
history
A chapel is mentioned in a document in 1451, and a church was built in the 18th century. Today's neo-Gothic building was built between 1854 and 1857 according to plans by Anton Geppert . In 1891 the parish was raised.
architecture
- Exterior description
The church is a single-nave building with a drawn-in, north-facing choir. In the west, the church tower with a pointed gable helmet connects to the choir. There are buttresses and coffin cornices on the nave . There is tracery in the lancet windows. The main facade has a stepped gable, a pointed arch portal and a two-lane tracery window.
- Inside description
The nave has three bays, the choir consists of one yoke and is closed by a 5/8 end. A pointed triumphal arch separates the choir from the church interior. The church interior is vaulted with a pointed barrel with stitch caps and ribs that rest on flat pillars. The picture windows were made by Josef Widmoser in 1946.
Furnishing
The neo-Gothic furnishings come from August Schärmer around 1860 . The high altar picture with Saint Sebastian was officially painted by Franz Hellweger and is flanked by statues of Saints Peter and Paul . The altarpiece on the left side altar shows St. John Nepomuk from the hand of C (aspar) Jele . The cafeteria picture painted by Johann Entfelder in 1860 shows St. Aloisius . The right side altarpiece shows St. Joseph also by C. Jele . The cafeteria picture is a baroque Mariahilf picture . The neo-Gothic pulpit, stations of the cross and figural shrines date from around 1860. In the choir hangs the former altarpiece, which shows St. Sebastian by Franz Anton Zeiller from the second half of the 18th century. The statue of a bishop was made around 1780.
