The parish church Neuhofen an der Krems is located in Neuhofen in the municipality of Neuhofen an der Krems in Upper Austria . The Roman Catholic parish church of St. Matthäus - incorporated into Kremsmünster Abbey - belongs to the Kremsmünster Dean's Office in the Diocese of Linz . The church is a listed building .
history
The church was mentioned in a document at the end of the 9th century. The late Gothic building was partly redesigned in Baroque style in 1658 . In the north between the church and the rectory, a new parish church was built from 1968 to 1970 according to the plans of the architect Karl Rebhahn , which is connected to the old church and the rectory.
architecture
The small late Gothic church has a nave vierjochiges sting cap barrel vaulted nave and a drawn-zweijochigen network rip vaulted choir with five-eighth circuit. A side chapel has recently been added. The west tower has an onion helmet from 1658.
The new parish church is a uniform, almost square hall with a folding roof, whereby the small pointed gables of the roof end are designed as windows.
Furnishing
The furniture is in a neo-Romanesque style.
