Gremertshausen is a district of Kranzberg in the western district of Freising . The parish village is about nine kilometers west of the district town of Freising in the tertiary chain of hills between the Isar and Amper . About 150 people live in the village.

history

Gremertshausen was first mentioned in a document in 793 under the name Crimareshusir . The name goes back to the personal name Crimhari. A church is mentioned as early as 810.

Parish Church of St. Nicholas

From the beginning of the 17th century, the village was the seat of a main team of the Kranzberg district court . In the course of the formation of the community after the second community edict, Gremertshausen became a politically independent rural community in 1818. The villages Giesenbach and Sickenhausen as well as the two hamlets Griesbach and Viehhausen belonged to the community . In 1925 it had 391 inhabitants. On July 1, 1972, the municipality was incorporated into Kranzberg as part of the regional reform .

Attractions

The village image is shaped by the tower of the parish church of St. Nicholas from the 14th century. The choir was in the 14./15. It was built in the 18th century and the nave was renewed with the furnishings in 1825.
