geography
Source of pepper
The Pfefferquelle is located in Königsbronn behind the foundry, one of the oldest industrial companies in Germany, in Frauentalstraße on Karstquellenweg . It is a typical karst spring with a spring pot and pours at least 13, an average of 110 and a maximum of 700 liters per second. Their natural overflow is the source of emptiness . The catchment area of the Pfefferquelle includes the markings Ochsenberg , Niesitz, Nietheim and Ebnat (district of Aalen ), which are all on the Härtsfeld . The subterranean cleft ladder that feeds the pepper drain the surface of the “Ebnater karst tub”, which has no outflow. The pepper source was a centuries weir provided for the use of hydropower.
course
The Pfeffer runs in a southerly direction, crosses under the federal highway 19 and the route of the Brenz Valley Railway and flows into the Brenz after about 450 meters at the Königsbronn monastery .
