The Phönix Nord nature reserve is located in the Altenburger Land district in Thuringia .

It extends west of Prößdorf , a district of the city of Lucka . The state road L 1361 cuts through the area in the northern area. The Prößdorfer See extends to the east . On the northern edge the state border with Saxony runs in parts and on the western edge in parts the state border with Saxony-Anhalt .

The 167.2 hectare area with the NSG no. 401 was placed under nature conservation in 2008.
