Catfish Collins
Phelps "Catfish" Collins (born October 17, 1943 in Cincinnati , Ohio , USA ; † August 6, 2010 ) was an American guitarist .
He was the older brother of the funk bassist Bootsy Collins . He played on many influential albums from Parliament , Funkadelic , James Brown , Godmoma and Bootsy's Rubber Band . His intense solos, also shaped by the use of effects (e.g. tape echo) and his sense for funky melodies, made his style unique.
