Benzanilide is a chemical compound from the group of carboxamides .
Extraction and presentation
Benzanilide can be obtained by reacting benzoic acid or benzoyl chloride with aniline .
It can also be prepared from benzophenone oxime by rearrangement according to Beckmann with phosphorus pentachloride in diethyl ether .
