Career

society

Phil O'Donnell began his professional career in 1990 with Motherwell FC. It soon became clear there that he had the prerequisites for a steep career. His only international game in the Scottish national football team , he played in 1993, when he came on in Aberdeen in a game against Switzerland in the 76th minute.

In 1994 O'Donnell moved to the Scottish top team Celtic Glasgow for 1.75 million pounds , but he was rarely able to get his full performance due to injury. Even a transfer to England to Sheffield Wednesday did not bring him the development boost he had hoped for. During his first season there, he only played one competitive game. For the 2003/04 season he returned to his original club, Motherwell, where he was named team captain in 2006 .

On September 8, 1993 Phil O'Donnell completed an international match for Scotland against Switzerland .
