Philip Schneider (born December 23, 1981 in Röthis ) is an Austrian national volleyball player.

Schneider only started playing volleyball at the age of 15 after a young trainer from Feldkirch approached him in a shopping center and invited him to a training session. After moving to Volley Salzburg , he received his first professional contract with Hypo Tirol in 2003 . In 2005, the trained banker ventured abroad and moved to the Liga A masculine at Avignon. Except for a break in the 2008/09 season when he played for the hotVolleys , Schneider stayed in France, where he is a regular player in one of the strongest leagues in the world. He moved from Avignon to AS Cannes , then to the hotVolleys, before hiring in Montpellier in 2009 , where he extended his contract for another two years in the summer of 2012.

While Schneider is used as a middle blocker or diagonal player in Montpellier, he occupies the position of outside attacker in the national team. At the home European championships in 2011 in Austria and the Czech Republic , Schneider retired with the Austrian national team as a regular player after three defeats in the preliminary round.
