Philipp Jakob Passavant (politician)
Philipp Jakob Passavant (born February 10, 1782 in Frankfurt am Main ; † June 5, 1856 ibid) was a merchant and member of the Frankfurt line of the Passavant family , which goes back to his great-grandfather Rudolf Emanuel Passavant .
Philipp Jakob Passavant was the son of the Frankfurt merchant Philipp Jakob Passavant (1748–1821). Together with his brother Samuel Passavant (1787–1855), Philipp Jakob was the founder of the Passavant brothers , which became a major silk / textile wholesaler in the free city of Frankfurt am Main.
From 1823 to 1845 he was a member of the legislative body . From 1826 to 1845 he was a member of the permanent citizens' representation .
