Philipp Mühlenbein

Philipp Mühlenbein (born June 5, 1865 in Cöthen ; † May 19, 1951 in Köthen) was a German administrative lawyer in Anhalt .

Life

After graduating from Ludwigsgymnasium Köthen , Mühlenbein first studied Protestant theology at the University of Leipzig . He became active in the Corps Thuringia Leipzig in 1885 and proved himself as a consenior . To study law and political science , he switched to the Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität zu Berlin and the Friedrichs-Universität Halle as an inactive person . In Halle he passed the legal traineeship exam in 1888. For further training he was referred to the district directorate of the Bernburg district . After serving as a one-year volunteerHad served in the Prussian Army , he passed the assessor examination in 1892 . In 1893 he moved from the administration of justice to the internal administration of Anhalt . In 1896 he joined the ducal government , department of the interior , as a government assessor. Since 1898 a member of the Ducal-Anhalt government , in 1900 he was entrusted with the administration of the Zerbst district administration. When Ernst von Laue became Minister of State in 1910, he asked Mühlenbein to take over the chairmanship of the government department of the interior. In 1911 he also took over the school system. He survived the November Revolution and remained in the service of the Free State of Anhalt . In 1919 he became President of the Government and sat for a short time in the State Council for Anhalt . On October 1, 1930, he retired.
