Philipp Rosenthal (actor)

Philipp Robert Rosenthal (* 1993 in Houston , Texas ) is a German actor .

Life

After graduating from high school, Philipp Rosenthal was the bass player in the blues band “NotReally”. He completed his acting studies from 2014 to 2017 at the August Everding Theater Academy in Munich .

After completing his training, he had various theater engagements. In the 2017/18 season he performed at the Metropoltheater Munich . From 2018 he had regular engagements at the Tiroler Landestheater . In the 2018/19 season he played Pinocchio in the children's musical piece of the same name. In the 2019/20 season he was Jim Button in the Christmas production Jim Button and Lukas the Engine Driver . In addition, as pubescent Filius Vincent, which he put on "defiantly naive", he had one of the leading roles in the Austrian premiere of the play Piece Plastic by Marius von Mayenburg .

2018 and 2019 he appeared alongside Dennis Herrmann , Roland Riebe Ling , Bettina Hauenschild , Brigitte Grothum , Jens Schäfer , Uwe Dag Berlin , Robert Joseph Bartl and Martin Semmelrogge at the Bad Hersfeld Festival as Sam in the travesty role of Juliet in the production Shakespeare in Love among directed by Antoine Uitdehaag .

He has also appeared in front of the camera in several film and TV productions. In the ZDF series SOKO Munich , he was seen for the first time in 2017 as a “failed” son at the side of Jean-Luc Bubert and Stephanie Eidt . In the 34th season of SOKO Munich (2020) he took on a leading role in the crime series as suspected art student Tim Hasse.

Philipp Rosenthal, who has both German and US citizenship and a work permit for the USA ( green card ), lives in Munich.
