Philipp Schumann (born May 2, 1993 in Giessen ) is a German volleyball player . The diagonal attacker has been playing for the SWD Powervolleys Düren since 2019 , with whom he reached the cup final in 2020.

Career

Schumann began his career at the age of 15 at TV 05 Waldgirmes . With the club, he played one season in the second Bundesliga south in 2014/15. In 2016, the diagonal attacker moved to the second division TG 1862 Rüsselsheim . He also trained with the first division team of the United Volleys Frankfurt . In 2019 he was signed by Bundesliga club SWD Powervolleys Düren . In the 2019/20 DVV Cup , Schumann made it to the final with the SWD Powervolleys, which the team lost to the Berlin Recycling Volleys . When the Bundesliga season was canceled shortly before the playoffs, Düren was in sixth place in the table. Schumann will also play for Düren in the 2020/21 season.

In beach volleyball , Schumann played some smaller tournaments with changing partners.
