Stefan Falter

Stefan Falter (born April 17, 1965 ) is a German volleyball coach .

Career

Until December 2004, Falter looked after the women from Alemannia Aachen , who were playing in the Regionalliga and the second Bundesliga at that time. Then he moved to the regional league team VC Schwerte , with whom he made promotion to the second division. Later he coached the men of Düren TV also in the regional league. At the end of the 2008/09 season he was working as an assistant coach in Aachen, parallel to his job in Düren, before he was promoted to head coach of the women's Bundesliga team in April 2009 . In 2011 he achieved his best results there with ninth place in the league and the quarter-finals in the DVV Cup . From 2014 to 2017 Falter worked as an assistant trainer at the SWD Powervolleys in Düren, where he assisted Michael Mücke , Anton Brams and Tommi Tiilikainen . When the Finn announced his departure after the 2016/17 season, the previous assistant coach was appointed as the new head coach. The 2017/18 season ended for Düren in the playoff quarter-finals . In 2018/19, Falter and the team reached the semi-finals in the DVV Cup and the quarter-finals in the Bundesliga playoffs .
