Philipp Vogler

Philipp Vogler (* 1965 in Itzehoe ) is a German pianist , song accompanist , conductor and composer .

Live and act

Philipp Vogler studied at the music academies in Cologne and Düsseldorf , with Rosemarie Zartner , Karin Merle , Carmen Daniela , Hartmut Höll and Roberto Szidon , among others . Professional engagements took him to the Augsburg Theater (1992–1995) and the Saarbrücken State Theater (1995–1999). He composed numerous stage music for both theaters. From 1999 to 2003 Vogler worked at the Hamburg State Opera . There he composed the song cycle Chanson de Baudelaire as a commissioned work .

Since 2003 Vogler has been professor for musical rehearsals and role studies in musical theater at the University of Music and Theater in Munich . Here he directed numerous opera projects, including highly acclaimed rediscoveries and Munich premieres. For example Bellini's I Capuleti ei Montecchi , Hartmann's wax museum and Korngold's musical comedy Die stumme Serenade , a first collaboration with Nicolas Trees , the director of the State Opera in Munich.

Vogler accompanied well-known singers such as Bernd Weikl , Johannes Kalpers , Aleksandra Kurzak , Hélène Lindqvist , Yvonne Naef etc. In 2006 he founded the “Bavarian Symphony Orchestra”. In addition, since 2008 Vogler has been the musical director of the "Ulm Students Chamber Orchestra".

Together with his wife, the soprano Hélène Lindqvist , he started The art song project in 2011 . Here songs by unjustly forgotten composers are presented.

With Lindqvist he has two daughters - The Voice Kids 2019 winners Mimi and Josefin .
