Blumberg is a district of the municipality of Arzberg in the district of North Saxony in Saxony .

Blumberg is located east of the district of Köllitsch and the Elbe just before the Saxon Brandenburg border and on the Alt Lonnewitzer Gutsforst .

history

The street group village Blumberg with 944 hectares in the Gewannflur was first named in 1251 Blumberch . The spelling changed frequently over time, in 1554 the village was called Plumbergk . The population increased from 35 people in 1551 to 256 in 1818 to 672 in 1910 and 973 in 1964. The superordinate authority had its seat first in Torgau , later in Mühlberg / Elbe and finally in Liebenwerda . From 1952 the office is again located in Torgau. The village has had a parish church since 1500 . On July 1, 1977, Stehla was incorporated into Blumberg. On July 1, 1993, it was incorporated into Arzberg.
