In 1220 the farm was called Pezle , 1227 Pezzele , 1791 Pistell or Pistelhof . In 1821 the farm had the same name as Piestel in 2012 . In 1818 18 people lived here. They were parish in Arzberg. The property was Vorwerk and Gut and once it was specified as desolate without specifying a period . The higher authority was always in Torgau. Today Piestel belongs to Arzberg.
