Tauschwitz is a hamlet-like district of the municipality of Arzberg in the district of North Saxony in Saxony .
location
The hamlet-like district is northeast of Belgern and southeast of the district Köllitsch on an alluvial plain in the eastern Elbe lowlands . The district road 8914 also includes the village in terms of traffic in the ferry service across the Elbe .
history
The hamlet-like district has developed from a single property with a group of houses belonging to a local nobleman. In 1299 the estate and the group of houses were called Heinricus et Eberhardus de Tuschewycz . The name Tauschwitz developed by 1535 . The manor house mentioned in 1299 belonged to Köllitsch in 1925 . In 1529 there were four people living in the estate, in 1918 there were 104 in 191 and in 1950 104. The residents parishes to Belgern and belonged to the Blumberg parish . The superordinate authority was located in Mühlberg / Elbe in 1551 , in Liebenwerda in 1816 and from 1952 in Torgau . The estate with 295 hectares of land was then a Vorwerk and later a manor , then expropriated after 1945.
With the incorporation of Köllitsch to Arzberg on September 1, 1965, Tauschwitz became part of this community.
