Philippe Bauer (born April 9, 1962 in Neuchâtel NE ) is a Swiss politician ( FDP ) and has been a member of the Council of States since 2019 .

biography

Philippe Bauer studied law at the University of Neuchâtel and graduated in 1987 with a licentiate. In 1989 he received his license to practice law and became a lawyer. He continues to practice this profession in his own law firm in addition to his political offices. He is married and has three children.

Political career

From 2001 to 2015 he was a member of the Grand Council of the Canton of Neuchâtel, from 2013 to 2014 he was also President of the Grand Council. He was elected to the National Council in 2015 and to the Council of States in 2019.
