Philippe Jacoberger (born August 28, 1955 , † July 22, 2016 in La Bresse ) was a French ski jumper .

Career

Jacoberger made his international debut at the Four Hills Tournament 1974/75 . After disappointing results on the Schattenbergschanze in Oberstdorf and on the Great Olympic Hill in Garmisch-Partenkirchen , he surprisingly reached 11th place in Bischofshofen on the Paul-Ausserleitner-Schanze and achieved his best single result of his career on his first tour. In the overall ranking it was enough for Jacoberger to finish 70th.

The following Four Hills Tournament in 1975/76 started for the first time in all four competitions, but was not able to take any of the top places and ended up in 71st place overall. After a two-year break from touring, he was able to achieve his best overall result in the Four Hills Tournament 1978/79 with the 60th place.

On December 30, 1979, he made his debut in the ski jumping World Cup as part of the opening competition for the Four Hills Tournament 1979/80 . However, up to the end of his career, the tour jumping was also the only jumping in the World Cup. He played his last tour with the Four Hills Tournament in 1981/82 , but again did not get above 66th place in the overall ranking.

Jacoberger ended his international career when he started at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Oslo in 1982 . He jumped from the normal hill to 53rd place. From the large hill, he finished 51st.
