Phillip Bellingham (born February 24, 1991 in Mount Beauty ) is an Australian cross-country skier .

Career

Bellingham has participated in the Australia / New Zealand Cup since 2009 . He has won 16 so far and was third in 2011 and 2013 and second in the overall ranking in 2014 . In 2015 , 2016 , 2017 , 2018 and 2019 he won this cup. He ran his first World Cup race in January 2012 in Milan , which he finished with 67th place in the sprint. His best placings at the Nordic World Ski Championships 2013 in Val di Fiemme were 73rd place in the sprint and 25th place in the team sprint. In January 2014 he reached the 37th place in the sprint in Szklarska Poręba , his best individual World Cup result to date. His best results at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi were 55th place in the sprint and 21st place in the team sprint. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Falun in 2015 , he finished 75th in the 15 km freestyle, 64th in the sprint and 23rd in the team sprint. His best placings at the Nordic World Ski Championships 2017 in Lahti were 43rd place in the sprint and 19th place together with Paul Kovacs in the team sprint. In January 2018 he took his first World Cup point in Dresden with 30th place in the sprint. His best results at the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang were 56th place in the 50km mass start race and 25th place with Callum Watson in the team sprint. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 2019 in Seefeld in Tyrol , he finished 64th in the sprint.
