Pia angel Nixon
Pia-Engel Nixon (born April 27, 1978 in Herne ) is a German cook, TV cook and restaurateur.
Life
After graduating from high school, Nixon moved to Sydney , Australia in 1999 . There she studied graphic design and learned to cook in various restaurants and cafés. Before she returned to Germany in 2009, she opened a restaurant on Sydney Harbor . She gave courses in international cuisine for the first time as a cookery lecturer at the Miele Tafelkünstler Ruhrgebiet cooking workshop in Herten. In 2010 she ran one of the first Weber barbecue academies in the Ruhr area. At the end of 2011, Nixon set up her own company, Engel's Küche , and traveled to Germany as a show cook, grill expert and event cook for companies such as Miele , Ostermann , Leifheit , Bob Grillson, Versatel and Porsche . From 2012 to 2016 Nixon ran her own cooking school in Bladenhorst Castle and in the kitchen barn in Dorsten .
She was also part of the culinary project POTT.CURRY from 2011 to 2016, for which she developed three different curry sauces. With the mobile POTT.CURRY currywurst bar, she and her team catered for various events and after-show parties, such as B. the German Television Award , the German Comedy Award , Echo , for Germany's Next Top Model , the 1 Live Krone and the Red Dot Design Award .
In 2015, Nixon opened the first POTT.CURRY snack bar in Germany. In 2016 she shot episodes for Rosin's cooking school with Frank Rosin . The cook also tested various snack concepts for the TV format Adventure Life . In July 2016, Nixon opened the NIXON restaurant in the Haus Leythe Golf Club in Gelsenkirchen, which it operated until the end of 2018. She has been part of the cooking show Bought, Cooked, Won on Kabel eins since 2017, and has been an event chef since 2019.
Nixon is divorced and has been in a permanent partnership since 2014. She is the mother of twins.
