Les Mosses - Pic Chaussy cable car
In 1963, a four-kilometer-long electric gondola lift was built, which reached from Les Mosses over Lac Lioson to the mountain station below the summit, overcoming an altitude difference of 857 meters. In winter , the four-person gondolas were used to transport the skiers for whom the slopes were maintained. For safety reasons and due to financial problems, operations were closed in 1987. The supports as well as the middle and mountain station were dismantled in 2009 for 250,000 Swiss francs , following requests from Mountain Wilderness and the local section of the Swiss Alpine Club .
