Pidberiszi ( Ukrainian Підберізці ; Russian Подберёзцы Podberjoszy , Polish Podbereźce ) is a village in the Ukrainian Lviv Oblast in western Ukraine with about 1100 inhabitants.
The village is located in the western part of the historic landscape of Galicia in Rajon Pustomyty the river Marunka ( Марунька ), about 24 kilometers northeast of Rajonzentrum Pustomyty and 14 kilometers east of Oblastzentrum Lviv removed.
On 29 October 2017, the village became the center of the newly established rural community Pidberiszi ( Підберізцівська сільська громада Pidberisziwska silska hromada ) to this are also the seven villages Hluchowytschi ( Глуховичі ) Myklaschiw ( Миклашів ) Pidhirne ( Підгірне ) Schurawnyky ( Журавники ) Tarassiwka ( Тарасівка ) Tschornuschowytschi ( Чорнушовичі ) and Tschyschykiw ( Чижиків ), until then it was the district community Pidberiszi .
The place was mentioned in writing for the first time in 1352, was initially in the aristocratic republic of Poland-Lithuania , Ruthenian Voivodeship , and in 1772 came as Podberisce to the then Austrian crown land of Galicia (until 1918 in the Lemberg district ).
After the end of the First World War he came to Poland , was incorporated into the Lemberg , Powiat Lemberg , Gmina Czyszki Voivodeship as Podbereźce from 1921 and was only occupied by the Soviet Union during World War II and by Germany from 1941 to 1944 and attached to the Galicia district . After being retaken by Soviet troops in 1944, it returned to the Soviet Union in 1945 and was incorporated into the Ukrainian SSR . Since the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, the place has been part of the independent Ukraine.
