Pietro Kojunian
Pietro Kojunian also Pietro Koyounian (born August 7, 1857 in Angora, now Ankara , Turkey , † December 13, 1937 ) was a bishop of the Armenian Catholic Church and Bishop of Iskanderiya in Egypt .
Life
Pietro Kojunian was ordained a priest on March 23, 1880 and appointed Bishop of Iskanderiya on February 26, 1907. On July 20, 1907 it was consecrated by the Patriarch of Cilicia , Archbishop Beghos Bedros XII. Sabbaghian , to the bishop. On March 17, 1911 he gave up his office and was appointed titular bishop of Chalcedon dei Armeni on the same day . In his capacity as the former bishop of Iskanderiya he was "Ordinarius for the Armenians in Rome" until his death on December 13, 1937 .
