Bishop Alfonso Milián Sorribas.

Alfonso Milián Sorribas (born January 15, 1939 in La Cuba ) is a Spanish clergyman and emeritus bishop of Barbastro-Monzón .

Life

Alfonso Milián Sorribas was ordained a priest on March 25, 1962 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop in Saragossa and titular bishop of Diana on November 9, 2000 . The Archbishop of Saragossa, Elías Yanes Álvarez , donated him episcopal ordination on December 3 of the same year; Co- consecrators were Antonio Cañizares Llovera , Archbishop of Granada , and Juan José Omella Omella , Bishop of Barbastro-Monzón . His motto is Yo en ellos y tú en mí ( I in them and you in me ( Joh 17.23  EU )).

On November 11, 2004, he was appointed Bishop of Barbastro-Monzón, and on December 19 of the same year he was introduced to the office.

On December 27, 2014, Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation.
