Pillmersried is a church village in the district of Cham and part of the municipality of the city of Rötz .

The place is four kilometers north of Rötz on the district road CHA 34 in the valley of the Rötzbach .

The former parishes

The two former communities with the name Pillmersried bordered each other directly until their dissolution, as did the two localities Pillmersried, whose separation was marked by the Rötzbach. To the west of the Rötzbach was the parish village of Pillmersried in the district of Neunburg vorm Wald and to the east of the Rötzbach was the district of Waldmünchen with the village of Pillmersried.

Pillmersried (Neunburg vorm Wald district)

The community of Pillmersried in the district of Neunburg vorm Wald last consisted of four districts, the church village Pilmersried and the wastelands Gänsschnabl , Rödlmühl and Saxlmühl . Until 1880 the official spelling was Pilmersried . The former municipality was incorporated into the city of Rötz in 1972. The community area was a good 346 hectares and corresponded roughly to today's district Pillmersried I of the city of Rötz.

Pillmersried (district of Waldmünchen)

The community Pillmersried in the district of Waldmünchen consisted of the villages of Pillmersried and Voitsried and the hamlet of Katzelsried . The former municipality was incorporated into the city of Rötz in 1972. The community area was a good 486 hectares and corresponded roughly to the current district of Pillmersried II of the city of Rötz.

Buildings

The Catholic side church St. Antonius von Padua, a hall building with a half-hipped roof and gable roof turret with onion dome was built in 1692 and is a listed monument under number D-3-72-154-39.
