Piotr Balcerzak

Piotr Balcerzak (born June 25, 1975 in Warsaw ) is a former Polish sprinter .

At the World Athletics Championships in Athens in 1997 , he reached the quarter-finals over 100 m .

In 1998 he retired at the European Athletics Championships in Budapest over 200 m in the preliminary run and won the bronze medal with the Polish team in the 4 x 100 meter relay . At the 1999 World Cup in Seville and the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, he reached the quarter-finals over 100 m and finished fifth and eighth in the Polish 4 x 100 meter relay.

In 2001 he retired at the World Championships in Edmonton over 100 m in the quarter-finals and came in sixth place in the relay. At the 2002 European Championships in Munich, he failed over 100 m in the first round. In the relay he was used in the run-up and thus contributed to winning the silver medal for the Polish team. In 2003 he was fifth at the World Championships in Paris / Saint-Denis with the Polish 4 x 100 meter relay.

In 1999 he became national champion over 100 m.
