Piranha Pedro is a board game for 2 to 6 players , ages 8+ , by Jens-Peter Schliemann , published in 2004 by Goldsieber , later also by Asmodée Editions in English and French. The playing time is about 30 minutes.

content

  • 1 game board
  • 1 Pedro character
  • 7 piranhas
  • 72 cards, 12 each in 6 colors
  • 4 landscape cards
  • 1 starting player card
  • 100 stones
  • 1 set of instructions

Gameplay

At the beginning the pawn "Pedro" is placed on the island on the board. The 4 landscape cards are placed on the 4 sides of the game board and show in which direction Pedro can be moved. Each player receives his 12 movement cards and 4 stones. With the movement cards, Pedro can be moved one to three spaces. If he gets to a water space, a stone from his supply must be placed there. Before the start of each turn, the players secretly choose one of their movement cards, then, beginning with the starting player, everyone reveals their card and moves Pedro. If a player has to move Pedro over the edge of the field or onto a field with a piranha or if he cannot place a stone on a water field on which he must move Pedro, he must take one of the six piranhas off the field. The players then receive new stones: 1 stone for movement cards with which Pedro is drawn one space, and for 2 cards each with which he is drawn 2 spaces. There are no stones for cards that have to be moved three spaces. Then the players get their movement cards back and the next player becomes the starting player. A game ends when one player has taken his second piranha, he is the loser of the game, all others are the winners.
