Piret Pääsuke

Piret Pääsuke (born December 3, 1959 in Tallinn ) is an Estonian literary translator.

Life

Piret Pääsuke graduated from the German high school Kadriorg in Tallinn in 1978 and studied German and world literature at the University of Tartu . She defended her diploma thesis on translation theory based on the comparative translation analysis German-Estonian in 1984. Since 1987 she has been the editor of literary programs on Estonian radio. She also began translating literary works at the end of the 1980s. Piret Pääsuke has been a member of the literary translators section of the Estonian Writers' Union since 2012 .
