Career

society

Strasser started his career at LASK . In 2004 he switched to ASKÖ Pasching . For the 2005/06 season he came to the academy of SV Ried , where he played until 2009. From the 2008/09 season he was also a member of the Rieder Bundesliga squad, but was not used. For the 2009/10 season he moved to the regional division FC Pasching , for which he was not used.

He then moved to the third-class SV Grödig in January 2010 . He played his first game in the regional league in March 2010 against SC Bregenz . By the end of the season he made 13 appearances in the western league, which he finished with Grödig as champion and thus rose to the second division . After the ascent, however, he left Grödig.

After two months without a club, he moved back to SV Ried in September 2010. At Ried he made four appearances for the amateurs in the Upper Austrian League . In January 2011 he moved to Spain to the UD Almería , where he should be used for the B team . In his first six months in Spain, he came two appearances for the B team in the Segunda División B . He was used once in the 2011/12 season. In the 2012/13 season he completed 15 third division games and was also once in the second division squad of Almería. In the 2013/14 season he was without a job.

For the 2014/15 season he returned to SV Grödig, who meanwhile played in the Bundesliga . At first he played at Grödig for the amateurs in the Salzburg League . In March 2015 he made his debut in the Bundesliga when he was substituted on for the injured Cican Stankovic on the 25th match day of that season against SK Rapid Wien with a score of 2-0 for Rapid in the 27th minute . Strasser conceded two more goals; Grödig lost 4-0 in the capital. In May 2015 he started against SCR Altach for the first time. In the 2014/15 season he played two games in the Bundesliga and three for the amateurs in the fourth-highest division. In September 2015, he scored his first goal in adult football from a penalty in a 7-1 victory for the amateurs against UFC Maria Alm . In October 2015, he replaced René Swete , who had been released from work, as a goalkeeper. In February 2016 he lost his place at Swete, who was re-integrated into the team, and at the end of the season he was sometimes only the third goalkeeper behind Alexander Schlager . In the 2015/16 season he played eleven Bundesliga games and four in the Salzburg league. With Grödig he was relegated to the end of the season from the top division, whereupon the club withdrew to amateur football.

He then moved to New Zealand for Waitakere United in August 2016 . For Waitakere, he made 17 appearances in the New Zealand Football Championship in the 2016/17 season . With Waitakere he failed in the semifinals of the master playoff at the later master team Wellington .

For the 2017/18 season he returned to Austria and joined the fourth-class ASKÖ Oedt . Strasser was used in all 30 games in the Upper Austrian League and was champion with the club. However, Oedt waived promotion to the regional league. In the 2018/19 season he again played all 30 games and was able to defend the championship title with Oedt. The club then renounced again on promotion.

National team

Strasser completed a game for the Austrian U-19 selection in May 2009 . From March to June 2011 he was used twice for the U-21 team .
