Castle ruins of Schreibersdorf
Remainder of the all-mile column from Pisarzowice in Lubań

Pisarzowice (German Schreibersdorf ) is a village in the rural community Lubań ( Lauban -Land) in the Powiat Lubański in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship in Poland .

history

Schreibersdorf, north of the road DK 30 from Lauban to Görlitz and about three kilometers from Lauban, has been documented as a church since 1346. In 1422 Heinrich von Salza received the village from King Sigismund as a fief. Presumably as early as 1525 the village became Protestant. The manor was owned by the von Salza family until the 16th century , and later by the von Warnsdorf family. In the 18th century, another manor building was built in Niederschreibersdorf. There was also a Vorwerk .

The estate was later partially divided up for settler farms. The village had 1,439 inhabitants in 1885 and 1,584 in 1928.

economy

The village was dominated by agriculture with grain and fruit cultivation on clay and sandy soil. Before 1928 there was a yarn spinning mill and there were also two mechanical weaving mills.

Attractions

The Renaissance style castle was built for Hans-Georg von Warnsdorf in 1620–1622 . It was partially destroyed in 1945 and has been preserved as a ruin.

Remnants of the Kursächsische full-mile column from the street tavern , which last stood in the town's manor park and was thrown into a pond after 1945, are currently stored in Lubań. The reconstruction and re-erection at the original location is planned.
