Pit Janzen

Pit Janzen (* 19th January 1944 in the German Reich ) is a German art director , stage and Production Designer .

Live and act

Janzen received practical training as a carpenter's journeyman , then studied interior design up to a diploma and took his first professional steps as a photo assistant. Since 1972 he has been employed as a film architect and production designer. In this role, Janzen designed film architectures and sets for all possible genres: theater plays such as exhibition stand construction, advertising such as TV comedy, historical television drama and entertainment shows.

He worked with Helmut Dietl on the successful Monaco Franze series, for Vojtěch Jasnýs Böll's adaptation Views of a Clown , a movie, Janzen provided the equipment as early as 1975, and between 1988 and 1996 he also designed the decorations for five crime scene crime stories. In 2006 Pit Janzen, who had also worked with the directors Marco Serafini , Rainer Wolffhardt , Bernd Fischerauer and Günter Gräwert , ended his cinematic activities.
