The Plakos GmbH is a non-fiction publishing and e-learning provider for training candidates and young professionals. He operates a platform with online recruitment tests and is one of the largest in the German-speaking area with over half a million users per month. The publishing house is in Barnitz in Schleswig-Holstein .
history
Plakos was founded in 2014 by Waldemar Erdmann and Philipp Silbernagel and has been owner-managed since the beginning. 40 books have been published since it was founded. These achieved bestseller status several times on Amazon with placements in the top 30. Over 2.3 million views were registered on YouTube via social media. The website has been operating as a free online platform since 2016.
In May 2020 it became known that the Mittelständische Beteiligungsgesellschaft Schleswig-Holstein mbH (MBG) from Kiel together with the Academic Innovations Holding GmbH from Lübeck are taking over the company for an unspecified million dollar valuation. Waldemar Erdmann remains managing director. Co-publisher Philipp Silbernagel leaves the company to devote himself to other projects.
Publishing program
The Plakos books are also available in stationary bookshops, for example at Hugendubel . The publishing program includes guides and exercise books on selection procedures for companies and authorities. Focuses on the topics application , aptitude test , aptitude test , interview and assessment center . It covers over a hundred dual training occupations as well as training and dual study programs at the Foreign Office , the Federal Armed Forces , the police , the fire brigade , customs and the Austrian Federal Railways . The publisher's books are kept in numerous academic libraries.
Online portal and app
With the Plakos Academy, the publisher operates an online portal with recruitment tests . Since its inception, the apps for Android and iOS have been downloaded more than 100,000 . The free tests were completed over five million times. Around 300 online test trainers and a podcast are offered for over 100 professions.
