The Platja de sa Marjal ( standard Catalan : Platja de la Marjal ) is a beach in the east of the Balearic island of Mallorca . It is located in the northeastern part of the municipality of Son Servera .
Location and description
Sa Marjal and es Ribell , which is adjacent to the north and is only about 170 meters long, actually form a continuous stretch of beach on the northern part of the bay of Son Servera ( Badia de Son Servera ). Both beaches are the mouth of the de Torrent Son Jordi separated a torrent ( Torrent ), which drains only when heavy rains into the sea.
Today the beaches of sa Marjal and es Ribell are often summarized in Spanish publications under the name of es Ribell . The entire beach is located outside the development of the neighboring settlement of Port Vell and the northern Costa des Pins .
The “Punta Rotja” beach bar is located on the banks of sa Marjal , where loungers and parasols can also be borrowed. In addition to buses, a mini-train for tourists runs from Cala Millor via Cala Bona to Costa des Pins in the summer months , which stops next to the beach bar. Parking spaces can be found on the street, which is separated from the beach by a dune wall.

Located on the right on the road from Cala Millor north to Costa des Pins, after the junction to the main road towards Artà and Capdepera .
