Plecketen way

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Plecketen Weg (also Plekete Weg ) was a trade and traffic route in Lower Austria .

The Plecketen Weg was part of the trade and transport connection between Germany and Hungary. The name is likely to be derived from “blecken” or “plaiken”, which means “to become visible” and indicates a washed-out, well-trodden and grass-free path.

He began in Strass im Strassertale , where from the Wachau next road to Kamp crossed with other roads combined. The Plecketen Weg then led via Hohenwarth , Großriedenthal and Oberstockstall to Kirchberg am Wagram and then on via Unterstockstall , Königsbrunn , Stetteldorf and Hausleiten towards Stockerau .
