The Spiš Mountains (Polish: Pogórze Spiskie ) is a predominantly forested mountain range in eastern Slovakia and southeastern Poland . The Spis Magura mountain range is the southern part of the mountain range. Sometimes the terms are used imprecisely synonymously. It is named after the region of Spiš , where it is located on both sides of the border.

The mountain is located north of Tatra , south of Pieninen and west of the Foothills Bukowińskie the hills of Pogórze Spisko-Gubałowskie . It has the character of a low mountain range . The highest point is at 1259 m. above sea level represents the Repisko .

In contrast to the other mountain ranges of the Pogórze Spisko-Gubałowskie, the relatively isolated Pogórze Spiskie is sparsely populated. The population density within the Polish Spiš is quite high. The area is also very well developed for tourism in the west along the Białka . There are three large ski areas on the western slopes in Czarna Góra and Jurgów :
