The Jurgów ski area , also known as the Hawrań ski area , is located on the summit and the western slopes of Górków Wierch in the Polish Pogórze Spiskie mountain range in Czarna Góra in the municipality of Bukowina Tatrzańska in the Tatrzański powiat in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship, approx. 200 north of the former Polish-Slovakian Voivodeship Jurgów border crossing. It is located outside the Tatra National Park at the foot of the High Tatras on the Białka mountain river . The ski resort is operated by the company Centrum Rekreacji i Wypoczynku "Hawrań" Sp. Z oo. It is the largest ski area in the Polish Spiš . The ski area is a member of the TatrySki association , which issues a joint ski pass.

The ski area is located at an altitude of 831 m above sea level to 1028 m above sea level directly on the voivodship road DK49 . The difference in altitude between the slopes is approx. 200 m. There is one black (very difficult), two red (difficult), two blue and two green slopes. The total length of the slopes is approx. 2.2 km, with the longest slope being approx. 1 km long.

history

The ski area was created in the 1980s. The current chairlift was built in 2007. The ski area is constantly being expanded. Among other things, a viewing platform is being planned on the summit.

There are two chair lifts and four button lifts in the ski area. A total of up to 7700 people can be transported per hour.

Infrastructure

The ski area is located approx. 18 km east of the center of Zakopane and can be reached by car. Voivodeship Road DK49 runs near the lower station . The former border crossing is about 200 m south of the exit to the ski area. The ski area itself borders directly on Slovakia. At the lower station there are parking spaces, a snow park, a ski school, a ski and snowmobile rental as well as two approx. 6 km long cross-country trails, one of which leads through an open-air museum with wooden architecture in Zakopane style . In summer rafting and kayaking on the nearby mountain river Białka , paragliding and downhill mountain biking are offered. There are also several restaurants in the ski area.
