The Pokalde (also Pokhalde or Dolma Ri ) is a peak in the Mahalangur Himal in eastern Nepal .
The cup is a so-called trekking summit . It is located in the Khumbu region, 12 km southwest of Mount Everest , and has an altitude of 5806 m (according to other sources 5745 m ). The peak falls into the "B" category of trekking peaks according to the Mountaineers Association of Nepal . It is easily accessible (short climb, easy climbing) and offers a view of the peaks of Makalu , Ama Dablam and Pumori . The best times of the year for an ascent are in the periods March – May and September – December.
The first ascent of the Pokalde was made on April 15, 1953 by W. Noyce, Tom Bourdillon and M. Ward.
