Political education for the vocational school

This page provides an overview of what is taught in politics at vocational schools in Germany .

According to the agreement of the Conference of Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs (KMK) of May 18, 1984, there are six learning areas for industrial and technical training professions (such as electronics technicians , mechatronics technicians ). These form a minimum standard. Each federal state also has a framework curriculum that is based on the resolution of the KMK. In addition to these learning areas, current political issues are also dealt with in the classroom .

With the decision of the Conference of Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs on May 10, 2007, the six learning areas are expanded.

Vocational training

The learning area deals with the legal basis of the vocational training relationship, in particular with the Vocational Training Act , the Crafts Code , the vocational training contract (contractual partner, conclusion, duration, termination) as well as the mutual rights and obligations from the vocational training contract.
