Pollyanna McIntosh (born March 15, 1979 in Edinburgh , Scotland ) is a British actress and model .

Life

McIntosh grew up in Colombia and Portugal . After the family returned to Edinburgh , she won the National Face of '95 competition in 1995 . She then moved to London , where she worked as a model. She graduated from the University of Surrey with a degree in Dramaturgy and Theater Arts .

Career

In 2003, McIntosh participated in the photo shoots for the 2004 Pirelli Calendar . In 2004 she was named Model of the Year by The Face magazine . She later moved to Los Angeles .

McIntosh got her first film role alongside Olivia Hussey , William Atherton and Sean Young in science fiction - Thriller headspace from the year 2005. In the thriller 9 Lives of Mara took it over in 2007 in the title role of Mara . In the comedy Sex and Death 101 she starred as a lesbian astronaut at the side of Simon Baker and Winona Ryder in the same year .

Personal

McIntosh was married to fellow American actor Grant Show from 2004 to 2011 .
