Location of Ponholz in Bavaria

Ponholz is a district of the Upper Bavarian municipality of Iffeldorf in the Weilheim-Schongau district . The wasteland is about two and a half kilometers east of the Iffeldorfer town center and less than a kilometer north of the Penzberg district of Kirnberg .

The first mention Ponholz as "Panholtz" in Urbar the Lords of Seefeld - Peißenberg from 1300 to 1320th

The Ponholzer ½-Hof was subject to the Wessobrunn monastery until it became an electoral fief . H. the farm was given to the farmer as a family property. This had the largest farm among the Iffeldorfer farmers. Agriculture is still practiced there today .

The Iffeldorf golf course was built around Ponholz from 1989 to 1991 .

The court chapel and the grain box are now a listed building .
