Location of Staltach in Bavaria

Staltach is a district of the Upper Bavarian municipality of Iffeldorf in the district of Weilheim-Schongau . The hamlet is located about two kilometers north-northeast of the Iffeldorfer town center.

Is probably first mentioned Staltach as "Staltan" in Urbar the Lords of Seefeld - Peißenberg from the period between 1300 and 1320. The Staltach estate was connected to the Munich – Penzberg railway line in 1865 , the railway line ran between the eastern courtyard “Beim Beck” and the two western courtyards “Beim Rothschopf” and “Beim Martinbauer”. The Staltach station was renamed "Bahnhof Iffeldorf" in 2002.
