Location of Sanimoor in Bavaria

Sanimoor is a district of the Upper Bavarian municipality of Iffeldorf in the Weilheim-Schongau district .

location

The village of Sanimoor is just under three kilometers north-northeast of the Iffeldorfer town center and less than one kilometer south of the Münsingen district of Schechen . Immediately west of Sanimoor is the Schechenfilz , which is part of the Osterseen nature reserve . The Singerbach runs directly in the northern connection and forms the municipal boundary between Iffeldorf and Münsing and thus also the district boundary between Weilheim-Schongau and Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen .

history

Sanimoor is not yet available on the corresponding original position sheet from 1839. The place was officially named "Sanimoor" in 1922. Peat was extracted in the adjacent moors , from 1923 to 1935 the Sanimoor AG peat factory existed .

In 1928/29 Maschinen-Druck AG (Madruck) bought the Sanimoor peat factory and built a briquette factory, which however never fully started operations.
