Porschendorf is a district of the community Dürrröhrsdorf-Dittersbach , which belongs to the district of Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains in Saxony . The place on the Wesenitz was first mentioned in 1311 as "Borsthendorff". The administrative village, which had a parish church as early as 1500 , was administered by the Lohmen office in the 16th century and later by Hohnstein. Around 1950 the population in Porschendorf with its district Bärreut reached a high of 583 inhabitants. The neighboring Elbersdorf was incorporated in 1969. Porschendorf has been part of Dürrröhrsdorf-Dittersbach since 1994.
