Pranas Mažeika (born August 15, 1917 in Belorezk , Bashkortostan , Russia , † September 18, 2010 in Chicago , USA) was a Lithuanian sports soldier and basketball player. He won two gold medals with the Lithuanian national basketball team at Eurobasket 1937 and European Basketball Championship 1939 .
Life
In 1938 he graduated from the Aušros high school for boys in Kaunas . In 1939 he graduated from Kaunas War School . From 1939 to 1944 he studied medicine at the Vytautas Magnus University in Kaunas and became a doctor. In 1944 he emigrated to the West and in 1949 to the USA. He worked as a doctor for 35 years. In 1985 he retired.
