Prize women of Europe

The Women of Europe Prize honors women for their voluntary work for a United Europe .

From 1987 to 2003 in Brussels, an international jury then selected a woman from Europe at European level from the sum of the national prize winners selected at Member State level. At national level, a woman from Europe continues to be chosen regularly in Denmark and Germany .

Since 2016, the price finds himself on an international basis, supported by the European Movement and the European Women's Lobby (European Women's Lobby).

Germany

The Prize Women in Europe - Germany was founded in 1991 on the initiative of the then member of the European Parliament Ursula Schleicher and has been awarded since then by the European Movement Germany . The prize is not endowed; The woman of Europe is honored with an individually made brooch as a symbolic award, which is donated by female members of the European Parliament.
