The first report from it was broadcast in April 2000 in the ARD Weltspiegel under the title Banished, Forgotten, Deported - The Girls by Malko Scharkovo .

This broadcast prompted the regional director of the Rhineland Regional Association (LVR) Ferdinand Esser to undertake the LVR's first international engagement in its history, which led to the establishment of the Association for the Promotion of Facilities for the Disabled Abroad. V. , who has supported the home with monetary and material donations ever since. Positions and Criticism

Inge Bell describes her position herself as “I stand firmly and clearly for women's rights”. In public she repeatedly addresses human rights violations against girls and women and, as a critic, takes a stand against prostitution and human trafficking, sexism, sexualised violence and the Muslim “children's headscarf”. In January 2017, Inge Bell criticized an advertising photo of the Allianz general agency Kundler Berlin as sexist , which triggered extensive media coverage. In February 2017, the Allianz general agency in Kundler Berlin obtained an injunction against Inge Bell, but replaced the criticized image.

In May 2017, the general assembly of Terre des Femmes elected Inge Bell to the board and passed the demand for a ban on Muslim children's headscarves. This demand had already caused criticism and "attempts at infiltration" within the association in advance.
